Banny Hom Automotive has been a trusted name in auto repair for generations—rooted in family, built on integrity, and committed to quality service. The business was founded in 1969 by Banny Hom, Sr. in Eastside San Diego, and just a few years later, it moved to its current home in El Cajon as a full-service Exxon gas station and repair shop.
In the early 1990s, the gas pumps were removed to sharpen our focus entirely on automotive services. Since then, we’ve continued to grow with the times—while holding tight to the values we started with.
Today, the shop is proudly owned and operated by Banny Hom, Jr., who quite literally grew up in the garage. He began turning wrenches by the age of 14, and in the following years learned from both hands-on experience in the family business and his formal education at Cuyamaca Community College. When his father retired in 2005, Banny Hom, Jr. took over with the same commitment to honesty, hard work, and high standards.
